ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform all asset management functions of the assigned loan servicing portfolio, including financial analysis, inspections, assumptions, transfers, easements, partial releases, insurance losses, loan payoff, maturity management, and other loan events.
- Provide strong customer service via prompt, professional communication with borrowers, lenders, investors, and co‑workers.
- Oversee and maintain department policies and procedures related to PWL, WL, and Portfolio Data.
- Maintain and update monthly/periodic reporting for assigned loans.
- Maintain and update monthly/periodic reporting for PWL and WL loans, as well as Portfolio data including stress modeling.
- Determine Analytics’ need and create reporting to address assigned reporting.
- Coordinate recurring calls with AM staff regarding PWL and WL loans, as well as Portfolio data.
- Serve as a formal or informal team leader, including training, mentoring, and coaching more junior staff.
- Create, document, and follow up on action plans for troubled assets.
- Communicate with senior management regarding remediation strategies and associated progress.
- Interact with accounting department for the transfer of cash, processing reserve disbursements, and the maintenance of reserve and other escrow accounts.
- Accurately and efficiently produce required analyses of operating statements and related financial statements of commercial or multifamily properties, including identifying and researching variances, normalizing and otherwise adjusting the statements, per lender requirements.
- Perform third‑party property inspections to verify sufficient maintenance of collateral, identify and report life safety issues, and other items of deferred maintenance.
- Maintain a live risk rating for all projects within the assigned portfolio, inclusive of Watch List deals, and identify/document project issues, trends and opportunities.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and lender servicing guides/agreements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of commercial or multifamily mortgage servicing experience.
- General familiarity with GSE (preferably Fannie Mae DUS, HUD/FHA, and/or Freddie Mac Optigo) loan servicing guidelines.
- Experience managing distressed assets, including familiarity with WL/special servicing requirements, workouts, loss sharing, etc.
- Expert knowledge of mortgage banking, loan servicing, and financial statement analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coach, train, and mentor junior asset managers/analysts.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with advanced financial and data manipulation functions in Excel.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Regular and reliable attendance required.
- Occasional domestic travel required.
