Loan Servicing Specialist (SBA)
Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid Schedule)
A full-service SBA lending branch is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist to support its growing portfolio. This team manages the full lifecycle of SBA loans, from pre-closing preparation through payoff; ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strong borrower relationships at every stage.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and self-sufficient professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys balancing multiple responsibilities while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Support the full servicing lifecycle of SBA loans, from pre-close through payoff
- Conduct pre-closing audits to ensure all documentation and requirements are in place
- Coordinate with loan closers to facilitate a smooth transition to closing
- Collect deposits, order appraisals, and prepare loan documentation packages
- Manage post-closing loan setup and ongoing servicing responsibilities
- Process borrower payments and maintain accurate loan records
- Request and collect required documentation from borrowers
- Monitor loans for compliance with SBA and regulatory guidelines
- Handle borrower inquiries and service requests in a timely manner
- Assist with problem loan situations and ensure proper handling and resolution
- Maintain organization of collateral, closing documents, and loan files
- Experience in loan servicing, preferably within SBA lending
- Strong understanding of loan documentation, payments, and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without micromanagement
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with borrowers
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Banking background preferred, but institution type is flexible
- Hybrid schedule:
In-office Tuesday and Thursday; remote Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - First 30 days require in-office attendance Monday–Friday for training (flexible based on progress)
- Flexible work hours, typically between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM core window (Not to be taken advantage of)
- 8-hour workday expected
- 90-day introductory period to ensure mutual fit
- Salary range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually dependent on experience
- Annual merit-based increases
