The platform specializes in senior secured direct lending investments, including unitranche, first lien, second lien, and structured debt financings across a broad range of industries. The firm has established itself as a differentiated capital provider through its ability to move quickly, underwrite complex situations, and maintain long‑term relationships with sponsors and borrowers alike.
As the platform continues to grow, we are seeking to add a Senior Associate to our Dallas office. This individual will play a key role in the underwriting, execution, and monitoring of direct lending investments while working closely with senior investment professionals in a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and highly active investment team with meaningful responsibility, direct exposure to investment committee processes, and significant interaction with sponsors, management teams, lenders, and advisors from day one.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and execute senior secured direct lending investments across sponsored and non-sponsored middle‑market transactions
- Analyze opportunities involving first lien, second lien, unitranche, delayed draw, recurring revenue, and other private credit structures
- Build and maintain detailed financial models including integrated operating models, leverage analyses, liquidity forecasts, covenant models, and downside case scenarios
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence including industry analysis, company performance assessment, management evaluation, and capital structure review
- Prepare detailed investment memoranda and present analyses to senior investment professionals and investment committees
- Assist in structuring and negotiating transaction terms, pricing, covenant packages, intercreditor agreements, and legal documentation
- Monitor portfolio investments through ongoing financial analysis, quarterly reviews, covenant compliance tracking, and liquidity assessments
- Interface directly with private equity sponsors, company management teams, lenders, consultants, and legal counsel throughout transaction processes
- Maintain active dialogue with sponsor coverage relationships and support broader origination initiatives across the platform
- Mentor and help oversee junior investment professionals where appropriate
- 3–6 years of experience in direct lending, private credit, leveraged finance, credit investing, restructuring, or investment banking
- Strong underwriting and transaction execution experience within sponsor‑backed middle‑market environments
- Advanced financial modeling and credit analysis capabilities
- Experience evaluating leverage profiles, cash flow generation, covenant structures, and downside protection dynamics
- Strong understanding of debt documentation and private credit market structures preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with prior investment committee presentation exposure preferred
- High attention to detail, strong commercial judgment, and ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced investment environment
- Demonstrated interest in long‑term credit investing and sponsor-driven deal execution
- Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance required
