POSITION PURPOSEThe position involves all aspects of the corporate banking function and is responsible for originating, growing, and retaining profitable client relationships. The role works independently and as part of a team to deliver solutions to clients. The primary relationship manager must possess comprehensive knowledge of credit and treasury solutions and the ability to coordinate the underwriting and credit approval process. The candidate will also be responsible for the ongoing management and development of client relationships within his/her portfolio.
EssentialFunctions And Basic Duties
- Leads and executes a marketing strategy to attract new client relationships based on a deep understanding of the markets served.
- Acts as the primary relationship manager for client relationships within his/her portfolio.
- Advises, as a subject‑matter expert, on all aspects of structuring and underwriting credit solutions.
- Obtains and analyzes appropriate diligence materials for the evaluation of credit risk, collateral value, and repayment capacity.
- Analyzes pertinent information and develops appropriate internal loan application documentation used in the approval process.
- Participates in the assembly of complete loan underwriting packages with adequate documentation to meet bank management and regulatory guidelines; familiar with standard lending concepts, practices, and procedures across industries.
- Presents loan requests to various Loan Committees.
- Work with attorneys to ensure appropriate documentation.
- Monitor existing client relationships with Credit Analysts and Portfolio Managers, including periodic borrowing base and collateral reports, and follow up responsibilities related to any past‑due accounts within the loan portfolio.
- Provide mentoring and training of junior team members as necessary to aid in their development.
- Maintain open lines of communication with bank clients and bank management.
- Other duties as assigned.
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications Education/CertificationA college or university undergraduate degree in a related subject; less than eight years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Required KnowledgeKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and various types of commercial loan products is required. Proven analytical ability, strong verbal and written communication skills, and familiarity with the bank’s loan policy are musts.
Advanced knowledge of financial analysis including cash‑flow analysis, balance‑sheet and income‑statement analysis, collateral evaluation, loan contracts, and appraisal reports is required.
Skills/AbilitiesExcellent writing skills are required to produce routine loan memoranda and loan application requests concisely and thoroughly.
Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is required.

- Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITIONThe ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in business situations is required. Must be able to interpret complex financial data presented in various forms.
MATHEMATICS ABILITYAdvanced knowledge of financial analysis including cash‑flow analysis, balance‑sheet and income‑statement analysis, collateral evaluation, loan contracts, and appraisal reports is required.
LANGUAGE ABILITYExcellent verbal communication skills are required. Ability to concisely understand and explain a loan transaction to others, including the Management Loan Committee, is required.
