Assistant Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and excels at using advanced technology and tools to optimize financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with operational experience.

Responsibilities:

- Manage month-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

- Maintain and oversee general ledger activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for audits.

- Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with DCAA regulations and standards.

- Utilize AI and BI tools to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency.

- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

- Provide insights and recommendations to improve overall financial performance.

- Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with company policies and industry best practices.

- Partner with leadership to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.

- Support audit preparation and address inquiries from external auditors. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Proficiency in advanced Excel and other financial software tools.

- Strong technical skills, including experience with AI and BI tools.

- Demonstrated experience in operational finance within a small company environment.

- Knowledge of DCAA regulations and compliance standards.

- Solid understanding of month-end close and general ledger processes.

- Proven ability to prepare and review financial statements for audits.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
