Position: Cost Estimate Principal Specialist (Hybrid)

Position Summary

The Global Mobility team at RTX seeks an experienced Cost Estimate Principal Specialist to manage tax cost estimates, oversee deliverables, and drive strategic initiatives within the Mobility Payroll & Tax Team.

Responsibilities
  • Receive new cost estimate requests, review data quality, gather information, and enter/track data using Equus and SNOW.
  • Prepare, review, and oversee cost estimate deliverables for bid/proposals, tax accruals, ongoing estimates for active assignments, and one‑off requests.
  • Manage tax positions within Equus platform and ensure standard work is updated timely.
  • Govern metrics and SLAs on cost estimate delivery to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide education and subject‑matter expertise on mobility package design philosophy and tax equalization.
  • Ensure exception process is followed and documented with stakeholders.
  • Support audits and maintain collaborative relationships with business unit, program leadership, finance teams, and cross‑functional partners.
  • Engage stakeholders for assignment structure design and document requirements in the system.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of global mobility experience (or 3 years with an advanced degree).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with tax cost estimates and global mobility.
  • Experience managing, coaching, developing, and training a team preferred.
  • Strong analytical, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • At least 1–2 years with Equus platform.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, planning, and decision‑making skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis; project management skills to drive complex projects.

Location & Compensation

Hybrid role; eligible candidates must reside within commuting distance of Cedar Rapids IA, Dallas TX, Tucson AZ, or Farmington/Hartford CT. Salary range: $86,800–$165,200 USD.
