Munck Wilson Mandala is looking to add a Collections Specialist to its accounting team in its Uptown Dallas office, reporting to the Director of Finance and Planning. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of law firm collections and accounts receivable experience utilizing Elite 3E software.
Responsibilities- Collaborate and communicate regularly with Attorneys, Accounting, the Revenue Services Manager, Director of Finance and Planning, and the CFO regarding collection efforts and the status of client accounts.
- Review assigned accounts, develop collection strategies, and establish payment plans.
- Locate and contact clients to initiate the recovery process.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients to negotiate payments and implement payment plans.
- Review and process account adjustments, and resolve client discrepancies, including over- and short payments.
- Monitor and maintain client accounts through regular calls and/or emails, providing responsive client service on collection issues.
- Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate hard-copy and electronic records of all client communications, agreed-upon payment plans, and payments received.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Accounting department's collection efforts.
- 3+ years of collections experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive client and financial information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); experience with Elite 3E collections/accounting software a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
