The Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of commercial and consumer loans, including documentation preparation, review, closing coordination, loan boarding, funding, servicing, and post-closing administration. This position works closely with lenders, lending assistants, attorneys, title companies, insurance providers, and other third parties to ensure accurate and timely loan processing.
The ideal candidate will possess experience with Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Commercial & Industrial (C&I), residential mortgage, construction, and specialty lending products. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional internal and external customer service. Experience with Laser Pro and FIS Horizon is strongly preferred.
Essential Job Functions- Prepare, review, and coordinate loan documentation for commercial and consumer lending transactions in accordance with approved credit terms, Bank policy, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate loan closings with lenders, lending assistants, attorneys, title companies, insurance providers, and other third parties to ensure all closing requirements are satisfied prior to funding.
- Review internally prepared and attorney-prepared loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved loan terms.
- Board loans accurately to the core processing system, including payment terms, rates, collateral, covenant tracking, and other key loan data.
- Process loan funding, maintenance, modifications, renewals, extensions, payoffs, and other servicing requests.
- Manage financial and collateral documentation exception processing. Review exception items and update the core processing system to ensure reporting is accurate, complete, and current.
- Process line of credit advances including but not limited to, construction loans, borrowing base lines, participation loans, and specialty lending programs.
- Ensure consumer real estate disclosures and other required documentation are completed accurately and within required time frames.
- Maintain effective communication with lenders, lending assistants, internal departments, and external partners to facilitate efficient loan processing and servicing.
- Maintain knowledge of lending regulations, compliance requirements, Bank policies, and operational procedures, while identifying opportunities for process improvement and enhanced service delivery.
- Adhere to Maple Mark Bank’s policies and support management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.
- Represent Maple Mark Bank with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Provide feedback to management regarding ideas on process improvements and efficiencies.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience- Proficient in loan document origination and review, loan closing, and servicing processes.
- Knowledge of loan core system(s), loan documentation system, products and other services as required; proficiency with Laser Pro and FIS Horizon a plus.
- Consumer loan knowledge (including mortgage lending) and experience ideal.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in confidential matters.
- College degree in Business, Finance or equivalent, or commensurate work-related experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of loan operations experience.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to use basic office machines.

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
