We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented team member to join our Loan Servicing and Closing group. In this role, you will manage your own portfolio of loans, lead daily servicing activities, assist in closing new originations, and partner closely with teams across investments, legal, development, loan resource group, compliance, treasury, and accounting. Your work will directly influence decision‑making and help optimize the value of multifaceted, multimillion‑dollar assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee the daily loan servicing of an assigned portfolio of CRE loans, acting as primary servicing point of contact for internal parties, borrowers, third‑party servicers, and various vendors. This includes processing monthly payments, coordinating third‑party servicers, managing monthly cash‑management waterfalls, custodial management of the original loan file, monitoring reporting requirements of loan agreements and guarantors, funding loan proceeds/reserves, and handling pay‑downs and payoffs.
- Partner with Fund leads within the Investments Group to onboard and manage repurchase facilities/back leverage, working with repo lenders, participants, banks, and investors. Duties include processing monthly payments, coordinating reimbursements, reporting, pay‑downs, and payoffs.
- Assist with the closing of new originations, tracking good‑faith deposits, ordering and reviewing due‑diligence reports, coordinating insurance reviews/approvals, running background checks for KYC/AML compliance, setting up bank accounts, reviewing legal documents, coordinating settlement statements with title companies, obtaining closing/funding approvals, and accurately onboarding loans.
- Ensure all money movements are funded in compliance with loan documents and company policies.
- Ensure appropriate set‑up, maintenance, and closing of all required bank accounts tied to the assigned portfolio.
- Enter all data and information related to lending activities into the loan servicing system accurately and timely.
- Coordinate the payment of all pass‑through expenditures from related vendors for the assigned portfolio.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative or related fields.
- 6+ years of relevant professional experience working with an investment firm, commercial loan servicer, private equity firm, or similar organization, focusing on real estate credit and adjacent sectors.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Commercial real estate experience required.
- Strong work ethic; proven ability to operate independently in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
