The Tax Analyst reviews and assists in the preparation of individual and trust tax returns. Working under general supervision, this role assists in completing individual tax returns (1040), trust tax returns (1041), informational returns, withholding forms and other tax compliance forms. The position provides clear and well‑organized documentation including detailed calculations and analysis, and prepares and maintains procedural and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities And Duties- Prepares tax reporting in a timely fashion and in accordance with tax code, laws, and the organization’s tax preparation policies and practices.
- Reviews data from the trust accounting platform for errors and omissions.
- Assists in tax set‑up processes for new clients and new trusts, including entering prior trustee transactions.
- Gathers tax documentation to assist in the preparation of tax returns.
- Calculates and monitors estimated tax payments and foreign and state withholding.
- Works with assigned clients to gather necessary information to complete their tax returns while coordinating with the outside tax preparation vendor.

CompensationBase Pay Range: $70,000/yr - $94,600/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non‑annual sales incentive plans, or other non‑annual incentive plans).
