Fund Finance Associate
Dallas, TX – hybrid, 2 days onsite.
One of Vaco’s clients, a growing investment management firm, is seeking a Fund Finance Associate to support the accounting and financial operations of its private investment funds. Reporting to the Vice President of Fund Finance, this role will play a key part in fund operations, investor reporting, capital activity, financial analysis, and performance reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical professional looking to build a career within private equity or alternative investments.
Compensation$100-130K + bonus. Medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) retirement plan.
Key Responsibilities- Track investment performance and analyze fund returns.
- Support monthly and quarterly fund reporting, including NAV calculations and investor statements.
- Maintain investor communications and respond to inquiries through the investor portal.
- Assist with fundraising due diligence materials and investor presentation support.
- Prepare management fee analyses, cash flow reporting, and other ad hoc financial analyses.
- Support audits and financial reporting requests.
- Prepare capital call and distribution calculations.
- Partner with investment teams, custodians, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate fund operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, fund administration, or investment operations.
- Experience supporting private equity, alternative investment, or investment funds is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and investment performance reporting is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self‑motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to contribute within a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.
