Senior Tax Compliance Officer:
Lead tax compliance and reporting activities for wealth and asset management clients, ensuring alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks.
- Implement and optimize tax compliance and reporting processes to increase efficiency and meet business strategy.
- Support development of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
- Provide tax compliance and reporting support, including tax provision and reform calculations.
- Deliver tax compliance solutions and projects, applying judgment and selecting appropriate methodologies to inform recommendations.
- Coordinate the work of junior colleagues, track project status, and regularly interact with external clients in working sessions.
- Analyze complex issues, implement procedures and guidelines, and resolve variable factors in tax compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree (4‑year) required.
- Typically 2‑4 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- CPA license or licensed attorney required, or ability to obtain one.
- Familiarity with managed investment vehicles and financial services industry.
- Broad exposure to federal income taxation and state/local tax.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and reporting requirements.
- Awareness of finance compliance and regulation.
- Understanding of global compliance requirements and ability to assess tax legislation impact.
- Experience with tax reform calculations.
- Familiarity with outsourcing/co‑sourcing models.
- Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, visualization, and storytelling.
- Experience with tax technology solutions and process transformation.
- Skills in building and managing relationships, establishing client trust, and driving outcomes.
- Strong communication skills with impact, emotional agility, hybrid collaboration, complex problem‑solving, critical thinking, and learning agility.
- Commercial acumen and experience leading teams.
- Experience in client‑facing roles or consulting environments.
- Familiarity with global tax compliance frameworks.
- Exposure to advanced tax technology platforms and diverse, multicultural teams.
- Base salary range: $91,100 to $150,200 (all U.S. locations) and $109,400 to $170,600 in NYC Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento). Individual salaries determined by education, experience, skills, and geography.
