Role Profile

Title: Financial Analyst

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Location: Dallas, TX / Remote

What We’re Seeking

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to provide analytical insights that support the growth and shape the strategy of the KLV portfolio. You will be a core member of the KLV team, supporting all elements of transactions, deal sourcing, and portfolio management. You will oversee the financial modeling and comprehensive due diligence process for investment opportunities while assisting in the management and monitoring of portfolio companies.

The role will be responsible for understanding and improving company operating models, identifying and understanding key business drivers, and building foundational analyses as we scale the business. You will analyze ROI of company initiatives, drive improvements to critical business operations and processes, and support board & investor‑related reporting. This is an opportunity for an extraordinary performer to put their “fingerprint” on a successful investment.

Success in the role means having the ability to multi‑task and execute at a high level daily. Problem solving comes naturally and you enjoy thinking outside the box to come up with creative solutions. This individual will have a strong financial background ideally with seasoned private equity experience, strong analytical capabilities, and strong leadership skills.

What You’ll Do
  • Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends
  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Provide input into process improvement to optimize forecasting and reporting tools, procedures, and methodologies
  • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad‑hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
  • Work directly with the partners in vetting/tracking potential acquisition candidates and strategic investments candidates.
  • Participate and collaborate in making investment recommendations and decisions
  • Perform financial analysis, valuation and financial modeling of companies and transactions
  • Manage and oversee the entirety of the transaction process as deal quarterback through diligence, terms and completion supporting the deal sponsor
  • Assist with comprehensive due diligence for potential acquisitions, including but not limited to financial, market, legal and operational evaluation
  • Assist in the managing and monitoring of portfolio companies
  • Provide both strategic and tactical counsel to portfolio company leadership teams leveraging operations, strategy, and financial expertise
  • Support management teams to develop and implement post‑acquisition initiatives that focus on successfully integrating portfolio companies and driving performance improvement opportunities
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating with debt providers
  • Work with investment professionals and other advisors to further develop and execute liquidity/exit plans for portfolio companies
