Pricing Analyst
Responsible for analyzing market trends, executing pricing strategies, and developing pricing models to optimize revenue and profits for company products and services in assigned Marketing region. Additionally, responsible for executing daily price changes, identifying potential risks or opportunities, and making recommendations to senior management.
Serves as the subject matter expert for pricing strategy and revenue optimization within the assigned Marketing region. Leads the analysis of market trends, competitive activity, customer demand, cost structures, and economic factors to identify strategic pricing opportunities and risks. Develops, enhances, and oversees sophisticated pricing models and analytical frameworks that support business growth and profitability objectives. Provides leadership and direction in addressing complex pricing challenges, partnering with stakeholders to evaluate alternatives and implement effective solutions.
Leads cross-functional teams and strategic projects involving Sales, Marketing, Supply, Operations, Finance, and other business partners to develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with organizational goals. Works closely with Sales leadership to understand customer needs, market conditions, and price sensitivities, translating insights into commercially effective pricing strategies. Establishes and manages pricing architecture, discount frameworks, and commercial programs that balance growth, competitiveness, and margin performance.
Identifies and drives opportunities for revenue enhancement, margin expansion, and operational efficiency through pricing and commercial optimization initiatives. Monitors and evaluates industry trends, competitor actions, regulatory developments, and economic conditions, proactively recommending strategic responses and business actions. Exercises independent judgment in making pricing recommendations and decisions, requiring guidance only in the most complex or highly sensitive business situations. Communicates complex analyses, business implications, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, influencing commercial and operational decision-making.
Leads efforts to assess and mitigate pricing-related risks while identifying opportunities to improve market position and financial performance. Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced team members and contributes to the development of pricing best practices, processes, and tools. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners to support strategic business objectives. Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
A minimum of 5 years' related work experience is required depending on education level. A minimum bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, engineering or related field is required. Preferred for Masters degrees. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, and experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Market View or Power BI.
Understanding of pricing models and strategies. Effective and productive communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques. Experience with pricing software and systems. Office based.
