Job Summary

As a Commercial and Specialty Banking Relationship Manager II, you will ensure the overall success and growth of an assigned portfolio by deepening relationships with existing clients, acquiring new clients, and cross‑selling loan, depository, and Treasury Management products.

Responsibilities
  • Review client credit needs and design financial solutions.
  • Negotiate credit terms, loan repayment methods, and collateral specifications.
  • Manage the client portfolio, monitoring compliance with credit standards.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, insurance on bank collateral, and loan grading.
  • Handle relationships with a credit exposure greater than $2 million and fee income over $25,000.
  • Provide financial advice and counsel to clients regarding business and banking trends.
  • Ensure loan documents comply with Loan Policy and banking laws.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations, including BSA, OFAC, consumer protection, privacy, and non‑discrimination laws.
  • Build rapport with clients and colleagues, treating others with respect and consideration.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong managerial, communication, and sales skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • MBA or master’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 7+ years of Commercial or Specialty experience.
  • 7+ years of commercial credit experience.
  • Completion of a formal credit training program.
  • Strong communication and sales skills.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong business development skills and an overall understanding of credit and business finance.
  • Extensive networking skills and active participation in market networking events.
  • Competence with standard office equipment (computer, fax, calculator, phone).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Solid knowledge of banking policies, regulations, and compliance issues.
  • Excellent financial statement analysis skills.
  • Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build teamwork and deliver a full complement of bank products and services.
  • Self‑directed and motivated to meet objectives and committed timelines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, articulating issues clearly and concisely.

  • Office setting with traditional hours.
  • Capacity to work at a rapid pace for long periods (typically no longer than 8 hours).
