This full-time, on-site Loan Officer role is based in Dallas, TX. The Loan Officer will work directly with prospective and current borrowers to assess their financing needs, explain available loan products, and guide them through each step of the mortgage application and closing process. Daily responsibilities include generating and nurturing leads, collecting and reviewing borrower documentation, analyzing credit and financial profiles, and presenting suitable loan options in line with regulatory and company guidelines.
The role involves coordinating with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure accurate, timely loan approvals and exceptional customer service from application to funding. The Loan Officer will also maintain up-to-date knowledge of lending regulations, product changes, and market trends, and build relationships with real estate professionals and other referral partners.
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mortgage concepts clearly and professionally.
- Proficiency in sales, lead generation, and pipeline management, including experience meeting or exceeding production and revenue goals.
- Solid financial analysis and attention to detail skills, including reviewing credit reports, income documentation, and asset statements for loan eligibility.
- Comfort with mortgage technology platforms, loan origination systems, and digital tools used to track applications and manage client information.
- Knowledge of mortgage products (FHA, VA, conventional, and niche loans) and current lending regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Prior experience as a Loan Officer, Mortgage Consultant, or in a related residential lending role is strongly preferred.
- Active Mortgage Loan Originator license (NMLS) or eligibility to obtain and maintain appropriate state licensing requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
