We have significant growth objectives enabled by the backing and mandate of affiliates of Apollo Global Management and are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Investor Reporting & Remittance Specialist.

In this role, you will support the monthly reporting and cash reconciliation process for residential mortgage portfolios for a multibillion-dollar trading and portfolio management business. This role ensures that funds received from loan servicers are complete, accurate, and aligned with internal accounting records. The ideal candidate thrives in a creative, fast-moving environment and can manage data, analytics, reporting, and cross-functional communication at scale

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Remittance file intake and validation
  • Lead a team responsible for timely and accurate investor reporting and the monthly cash tie-out processes, interacting with multiple mortgage servicers and internal partners.
  • Ingest and normalize monthly remittance and investor reporting packages received from mortgage servicers (loan-level and summary files), ensuring consistent formats and data mapping.
  • Perform data integrity analysis to identify anomalies, breaks, contractual allowances, and missing/invalid fields; document findings and drive resolution to completion.
  • Ensures the performance and reporting are in accordance with the servicing agreements, the policies and procedures, state and federal regulations.
  • Reviews the accuracy of the remittance reports including
  • Principal and interest amortization, interest rates, service fees, corporate advances, payoffs and liquidations of loans in default, loan modifications, prepay penalty application and collection, loss drafts, tax and insurance advances, pool security balance, shortage/surplus differences, test of expected cash (if applicable)
  • Track issue frequency/cadence, exception reporting, root causes, and outcomes across the monthly cycle; manage restatements/revisions and confirm whether breaks are corrected in the current or subsequent month.
  • Generate standardized and ad-hoc reports to support month-end close and related deadlines.
Communication and cross-functional coordination
  • Serve as a point of coordination between internal stakeholders (e.g., trading, loan operations and accounting) and external servicers to ensure timely receipt, clarification, and correction of reporting.
  • When exceptions are identified, engage servicers to obtain explanations, revisions, or true ups; manage the workflow to reach a “final” remittance package for downstream users.
QUALIFICATIONS AND

EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in mortgage-related investor reporting, remittance and reconciliation, with exposure to Non-QM, CES/HELOCs, RTL, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability working with complex monthly remittance packages, including ingesting, analyzing, and reconciling the same.
  • Background working in a high-volume deadline-driven environment managing multiple reporting cycles and servicers.
  • Strong analytical capability and attention to detail; ability to identify and research variances, reconcile data, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Adept at learning and working in SaaS-type technology platforms and managing data accordingly, whether in a system of record or separately in Excel.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting (pivot tables, lookups, and macros).
  • SQL or similar data querying experience preferred (especially for large-scale validation and anomaly detection).
  • Familiarity with standard servicing systems, such as MSP and Sagent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and ability to coordinate across internal teams and external servicers.
Pay Range:

$ –  annually.

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby a award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
