About the Associate Role:We are partnered with a leading middle-market investment bank is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its highly active Energy team in Dallas, Texas. This is an opportunity to join a lean, collaborative group that offers significant client exposure, strong deal execution responsibility, and a clearly defined path for long-term career advancement.
About the Team:The Energy team focuses primarily on M&A transactions, with additional exposure to debt advisory assignments. The group is led by senior bankers with deep sector expertise and maintains a strong reputation across the energy industry. As an Associate, you will work closely with senior leadership, including Managing Directors and Vice Presidents, while partnering with dedicated analyst resources to execute a robust pipeline of transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the execution of M&A and strategic advisory transactions within the energy sector
- Build and review complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
- Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, and board-level deliverables
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage transaction workflows
- Interact directly with clients, prospective clients, and transaction counter parties
- Mentor and oversee analysts throughout the deal process
- Current 2nd or 3rd Year Investment Banking Analyst or 1st Year Investment Banking Associate
- Energy sector experience is strongly preferred, ideally within Exploration & Production (E P) or a closely related energy vertical
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in Dallas
