Investment Banking Associate – Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT)
Location:
Dallas
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join our Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) team. The Associate will play a key role in executing M&A transactions, capital raising activities, and strategic advisory assignments for clients across the TMT sector. This position offers significant exposure to senior bankers, corporate executives, private equity firms, and institutional investors.
Key Responsibilities- Support the execution of mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, debt financing, and other strategic transactions.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, including:
- DCF valuations
- Comparable company analyses
- Precedent transaction analyses
- LBO models
- Merger models
- Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research within the TMT sector.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch books, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), and management presentations.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage transaction timelines.
- Interface with clients, attorneys, accountants, and other transaction stakeholders.
- Review and analyze financial statements, operating metrics, and business plans.
- Assist in training and mentoring Analysts.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent credential preferred but not required.
- 3–6 years of investment banking, corporate finance, valuation, transaction advisory, or related experience.
- Strong understanding of TMT industry trends and business models.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases such as Capital IQ, Fact Set, Bloomberg, or Pitch Book.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience executing sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions.
- Exposure to software, fintech, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, internet, media, semiconductor, or technology-enabled services sectors.
