Job Description:As a Senior Treasury Partner, you'll provide strategic financial insight and guidance that influences decision‑making across the organization and supports the Company's financial objectives. You'll partner with Leaders and cross‑functional Teams to drive enterprise cash forecasting, deliver financial insights, and develop complex models that support capital allocation, financing strategies, and long‑term planning. This role leads Treasury initiatives that strengthen liquidity, optimize cash management, and enhance financial performance, while providing analytical support across Treasury Operations and Corporate Finance to help the Company achieve its strategic and growth objectives.

Responsibilities- Develop and maintain short and long‑term cash flow and balance sheet forecasts with input from various groups to ensure projections are accurate and consistent with key assumptions
- Communicate the forecast results up to the Executive level by providing key drivers, reconciliations across versions, and any other useful commentary that provides clarity to the numbers
- Work closely with various groups including FP&A, Accounting, and Technology to develop a financial planning tool which will streamline the financial planning process
- Develop and maintain quantitative models that evaluate interest rate hedging alternatives, weighted average cost of capital, leverage, covenant compliance, return on invested capital, and other analytical models related to the financial and operational condition of Southwest Airlines, our competitors, suppliers, counter parties, and credit providers
- Develop capital structure and capital redeployment recommendations based on market conditions, the Company's projected financial performance, and other factors
- Provide assistance to Treasury Operations with daily cash positioning, investment policy compliance, and recommendations for investment alternatives
- Perform ad hoc analysis on a wide array of topics to assist other groups within Treasury and throughout the Company
- Support Fuel Hedging activities, includes serving as Department representative on daily margin call, completing trade documentation, and providing market updates to Senior Leaders
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, Leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of People and resources
- Knowledge of LAN and SaaS based applications
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) systems such as SAP or Workday
- Expertise in economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Expertise in financial modeling, and the composition of cash flow statements, income statements, and balance sheets
- Expertise in the drivers that impact forecasting and trends and the ability to identify anomalies in the data and investigate accordingly
- Skilled at choosing the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem
- Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing and assimilating data including turning raw data into meaningful information using data‑oriented programming languages and visualization software
- Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem‑solving and decision‑making
- Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to identify potential business opportunities and prepare persuasive business cases for approval
- Ability to make formal and informal
