Personal Financial Counselor, PFC - Grand Prairie, Texas

Responsibilities

Provide personal financial services at assigned military installations, including:

• Full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and families.
• One‑on‑one counseling, briefings, presentations, and referrals to external resources.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Plan and conduct publicized Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering all military lifecycle events.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication modes, as authorized.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations per DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership; participate in supervision sessions and share trends or issues.
• Participate in in‑services, training, quality improvement committees, and other contract activities as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned that align with the intent of this role.

• Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree plus 4 years of experience or high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English; bilingual English/Spanish if required by contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosure for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must hold at least one of the following certifications:
  Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
