Purpose

The role is an operational management position responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day delivery of U.S. Domestic and International Equities and Fixed Income settlement activities. The incumbent plays an important role in ensuring the accurate, timely, and controlled settlement of a broad range of securities products across multiple business lines, while supporting process improvement, control discipline, and business change. The position contributes to the firm’s ability to operate effectively across global markets by translating business, regulatory, and control expectations into consistent daily execution.

The role works closely with Operations, Risk, Finance, Treasury, Technology, and Front Office partners, with accountability for team supervision, issue escalation, operational performance, and support of a strong control environment.

What You’ll Do Settlement Operations & Execution Leadership
  • Manage and oversee daily U.S. Domestic and International Equities and Fixed Income settlement activity, including Fed Settlements and Securities Borrow/Loan transactions, supporting both local and international business lines.
  • Support accurate and timely settlement across a complex product set, including equities, bonds, ADRs/ORDs, 144A/Reg S securities, and collateralised transactions.
  • Coordinate and monitor key activities across the settlement lifecycle, including:
    • Trade settlement and affirmation
    • Segregation and regulatory custody requirements
    • Triparty trade matching and funding activity
    • P/S and DWAC processing
    • Corporate action–related conversions and adjustments
    • Cash wire processing and liquidity movements
    • Daily funding, cash management, and position reconciliation
    • Fail monitoring, escalation, and remediation
    • Coupon, margin, and TMPG receivable/payable management
    • Trade repricing and associated cash movements
    • Management information and operational reporting
Business Partnership & Change Enablement
  • Act as a key operational contact for supported businesses, including Collateral Management and Funding, Group Treasury, Prime Services, Global Equity Derivatives, and Emerging & Debt Capital Markets.
  • Partner with Front Office, Finance, Treasury, Technology, and Risk teams to support new product launches, client onboarding, market expansions, and operating model changes.
  • Support operational readiness for new business initiatives, helping ensure scalability, control readiness, and regulatory alignment prior to go‑live.
  • Work with upstream and downstream stakeholders to improve trade quality, settlement outcomes, and funding efficiency.
Risk, Controls & Regulatory Accountability
  • Manage day‑to‑day operational risk and control activities for the settlement function, ensuring processes are performed in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and the firm’s stated risk appetite.
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory exams, and control reviews, including evidence gathering, issue tracking, remediation support, and sustainable control enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to obligations under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in controls, reconciliations, exception management, and issue escalation to reduce settlement risk and operational losses.
People Leadership & Talent Development
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate settlement operations team members, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear expectations aligned to business strategy, operational excellence, and risk discipline.
