About

The Role

CBRE is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Functional Finance team at corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas. This role operates in an AI-forward finance environment where team members are expected to actively leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, improve reporting quality, and drive smarter business partnerships.

As part of the Functional Finance team, you will serve as a dedicated finance business partner to CBRE’s corporate functional leaders, supporting cost management, headcount planning, and financial reporting across functions such as Finance, HR, Technology (D&T), Legal, and Marketing. You will work closely with functional cost center owners and senior finance leadership to deliver actionable insights that support enterprise-wide cost transformation and planning objectives.

A key expectation of this role is the proactive use of AI tools — including Claude and other generative AI applications — to enhance the speed, depth, and quality of financial analysis and communications.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with functional cost center owners to develop, track, and explain monthly actuals versus budget and forecast, providing clear variance analysis and narrative for senior finance leadership.
  • Support annual budget, rolling forecasts, and LRP planning cycles for functional cost areas, coordinating submissions and ensuring accuracy of plan inputs across assigned functional groups.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed headcount and opex reporting, with visibility into actuals, open roles, and run-rate cost trajectories to inform resourcing decisions.
  • Leverage TM1/Cognos and advanced Excel to manage, reconcile, and analyze large financial datasets; support migration and adoption of One Stream as the planning platform evolves. Apply AI-assisted tools to automate routine data manipulation, surface anomalies, and accelerate reconciliation workflows.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Shared Services on month-end close activities, including accruals, reclassifications, and normalization journal entries relevant to functional cost centers.
  • Build and maintain financial models and templates to support cost transformation initiatives, scenario analysis, and ad hoc requests from functional and senior finance leadership; use generative AI to accelerate model documentation, scenario narratives, and executive-ready output.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
