The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX. This role involves originating residential mortgage loans, guiding applicants through the loan process, and providing clear, timely communication from initial inquiry through closing. The Mortgage Loan Officer will meet with prospective borrowers, collect and review financial documentation, assess creditworthiness, and present suitable loan options that align with borrowers’ needs and goals.
Daily responsibilities include coordinating with underwriting, processing, and closing teams, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to regulatory and company guidelines. The role also includes building and maintaining relationships with referral partners, participating in local networking activities, and contributing to a high-standard, customer-focused lending experience.
- Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry and mortgage lending practices.
- Experience working as a Loan Officer or in a similar mortgage origination role.
- Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and loan documentation requirements.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Additional qualifications such as NMLS licensure, understanding of FHA, VA, and conventional products, and experience with loan origination systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Dallas, TX, manage multiple files simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to fair lending and regulatory compliance.
