  • Participate actively in training sessions
  • Perform actuarial valuations and prepare valuation reports
  • Analyze and reconcile pension plan participant data
  • Perform pension benefit calculations using established spreadsheets or the proprietary plan administration system
  • Prepare government reporting forms and annual employee benefit statements
  • Support special projects as ad-hoc needs arise
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete projects on time and meet quality standards
  • Respond to requests and communications effectively and efficiently
  • Learn about retirement plans and actuarial work across Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, and post-retirement welfare plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or another major with significant quantitative coursework
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Current college student, at least sophomore, enrolled in a program with heavy quantitative emphasis
  • Graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
  • Work experience demonstrating strong technical and/or client service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a close team environment
  • Ability to work independently and on client teams
  • Strong client delivery orientation
  • Ability to apply problem-solving techniques in a business environment
  • Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship
  • Not interested in writing future actuarial exams
  • Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred
