Based in Dallas, Texas, Mack & Co. Partners, LP (“MCP”), a registered investment adviser and affiliate of Mack & Co., LLC (collectively, with affiliates, the “Firm”), is a bespoke, purpose-built, global advisory and private investment management firm for “under the radar” family offices and ultra-high net worth individuals.
The Firm was founded in 2010 by Roszell Mack III with the singular goal of building a bespoke and purpose-built global private investment management platform for “under the radar” family offices and ultra-high net worth individuals.
The Firm focuses on providing financial services and investment solutions to institutional-sized global family offices with investable assets of $100 million - $10+ billion and currently has clients and investors in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East.
The Firm’s four business lines include a) Advisory, b) Direct Investments, c) Investment Management and d) Capital Advisory.
About the Vice President, Finance & Strategic Planning PositionPosition Summary: A strategic finance executive responsible for defining and executing the firm’s financial vision, capital strategy, client and investor reporting and long-term growth plan. This role partners closely with the CEO/Managing Partner and senior leadership to align financial planning with business objectives, ensure institutional-grade reporting, and drive operational excellence. With oversight of all accounting, budgeting, treasury, and finance reporting functions, this role ensures financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical rigor, strategic foresight, and executional discipline to support scalability, investor confidence, and data-driven decision-making across the firm.
- Lead annual budget, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning
- Develop pricing models for services across business lines (Advisory, Investment Management, etc.)
- Supports investor relations, Excalibur communications, and investor presentations
- Reviews and analyzes detailed Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial reporting standards.
- Provide timely financial reporting for management and oversight of the Firm
- Monitors Budget vs. Actual performance on a monthly and quarterly basis, identifying key variances and supporting data-driven decision-making
- Oversee and execute the year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial closure
- Develops and finalizes the annual operating budget, aligning with strategic and operational priorities
- Reviews and approves Fair Market Value (FMV) valuations for equity and portfolio assets
- Approves the financial reporting package prepared by the fund accountant for submission to external auditors
- Reviews and approves audit support packages for completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness
- Administers payroll and employee benefits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
- Pays estimated taxes on behalf of the CEO and other vested equity holders in accordance with equity compensation policies
- Reviews and manages bank balances, making internal transfers and liquidity adjustments as needed
- Oversee bank borrowings, including monitoring credit lines and initiating borrowings or repayments as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; MBA strongly preferred
