Job Description
In conjunction with the Assistant Director, assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the Ryan White Grants OR Section 8 program to include reviewing legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to the health, social service, and/or voucher programs to ensure compliance.
Management Scope:
Grants Program:
Assists in supervising exempt and non-exempt staff members, with oversight of forty (40) sub-recipient agencies receiving funds from five (5) federal and state grants totaling approximately $20+ million OR Voucher Program:
Section 8 Voucher Program totaling $30+ million and 4,000+ vouchers.
Education, Experience and Training: Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Law, Business, or in a job related field of study. Four (4) years of professional work related experience, including two (2) years supervisory experience.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must possess knowledge of federal, state and local HIV/AIDS health and social service agencies and grants related to public health and human services management and administration. Must also demonstrate an ability to understand issues related to HIV/AIDS program and fiscal compliance, quality assurance, outcome assessment, cost effectiveness, data interpretation and evaluation, and program planning. Knowledge of standard software applications.
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public.
Physical/Environmental Requirements: Standard office environment.
