Division Chief Of Economic Analysis And Information (EA&I)

This position is the Division Chief of Economic Analysis and Information (EA&I) for the Dallas Region and includes the following responsibilities:

• Serves as a Regional EA&I Supervisor providing leadership and direction for the EA&I functions carried out in the Regional Office.
• Makes recommendations and decisions involving significant internal and external program and policy issues affecting the overall organization.
• Organizes and executes economic analysis of substantial breadth and complexity encompassing a wide range of socioeconomic data including most or all BLS programs and major programs of other Federal Agencies.
• Reviews proposals, drafts and final submission for major publication articles for internal and external publications, to be produced by regional personnel.
• Represents the Regional Commissioner and the agency in media interviews, public presentations and other venues in a highly-visible environment. Represents the agency with key and high level officials from governmental, academic, business and labor organizations.
• Supervises at least 25% of the time:
  Provides advice, counsel, and instruction to individual employees on performance and administrative matters; establish performance standards, evaluate performance, and rate subordinate employees.
