Do you love providing hands‑on healthcare in the community? Then we have a spot waiting for you. We are seeking an engaging Medical Assistant to join our new Pediatric mobile unit team. You will support our providers with patient care onboard the mobile unit and in the field. You will assist providers with patient care including preparing patients for examination and treatment, assisting with procedures, performing laboratory tests and other functions, and educating patients on their treatment plan.
Responsibilities- Perform patient intake duties such as registration, check‑in/out, insurance verification, consent forms, and payment processing.
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, document patient demographics, medical history, allergies, medication usage, and reason for visit.
- Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, respiration, height, weight, BMI).
- Perform onsite testing, labs, and immunizations.
- Document patient information in the EMR (eClinical
Works).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR certification.
- Medical Assistant Certification and/or Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience with pediatric patients.
- Working knowledge of computers and data entry.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- eClinical
Works (EMR) experience preferred. - Ability to report to off‑site location in the North Texas region as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
