Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is looking to add a Seasonal Full Time Medical Assistant to our growing team. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working with kids. Our MA job positions allow for flexible schedules as well as education and training opportunities.

What You Need (Qualifications):

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be a graduate from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program, or Certified Medical Assistant with relevant work experience required
• Must pass criminal background check
• American Heart Association BLS certification required prior to start date
• Enjoys working with children!
• We use E-Verify

The Perks (Benefits):

• Salary: $17- $19 depending on experience
• Overtime pay available
• Free in-house medical care for employee and dependent children

The Nitty Gritty (Day To Day):

• Work with your team members to provide excellent medical care to our patients!
• Comfort sick or injured children and their nervous parents
• Triage children and gather relevant medical history
• Administer medications as directed by a provider
• Perform point of care testing as directed
• Assist providers during exam and procedures
• Perform x-ray positioning as directed
• Document visit in EHR

When We Operate (Schedule):

• 12, 10 and 8 hour shifts available
• Clinic Hours are as follows:
  
  Mon – Fri: 9:00 am – 8:30 pm
• Opportunity to travel to other clinics as needed

Upon hiring, all employees will undergo a comprehensive background check. This process will include verification of previous employment, a review of the national sex offender database, and checks for any criminal or civil litigation history. We require American Heart Association BLS certification for all clinical roles, proof of education is required.
