Experienced Medical Assistant – Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Join a highly specialized plastic and reconstructive surgery practice where clinical excellence, continuity of care, and teamwork truly matter. This is a hands-on, patient-facing MA role for someone who understands plastic surgery workflows and thrives in a close-knit clinical setting—not a large hospital system.
This Role at a GlanceThis position requires prior plastic surgery knowledge and strong clinical experience. You’ll be deeply involved in patient care throughout the full surgical journey and must be comfortable staying late when patient care requires it. Because of this, a very local commute is essential.
What You’ll Do- Assist in plastic and cosmetic procedures across pre-op and post-op phases
- Provide direct clinical support to patients throughout their surgical experience
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterile technique
- Perform vitals, injections (if certified), suture removal, dressing changes, and wound care
- Support in-office procedures and assist the surgeon as needed
- Educate patients on procedures, aftercare, recovery expectations, and post-op instructions
- Manage clinical documentation and support overall patient flow
- Serve as a consistent, reassuring clinical presence for patients
This is not a “clock in, clock out” role — it requires ownership, flexibility, and commitment to patient care.
