Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in women's health/gynecology and have surgical assistant experience. We focus on endometriosis specifically including pelvic pain management and fertility. Treatment through a holistic approach and ultimately the gold standard of endometriosis excision surgery. Empathy and high quality care is paramount.
This position requires proficiency in assisting with robotic surgical procedures, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services, performing assessments, and assisting in treatment plans. We are looking to hire at start of the new year.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations. Clinic 3-4 days a week.
- Surgical assisting 1-2 days a week and provide post‑operative care
- Respond to portal messages, refills.
- Manage chronic pain, including the use of SSRI, vaginal suppositories compounded, gabapentin. Assist with referrals to pelvic floor physical therapy. A non narcotic management of pain.
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide post‑operative care.
- Triage patients effectively to prioritize care based on urgency.
- Utilize EMR system with eClinical
Works for patient documentation and data management. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management including hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics, and infectious disease care.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards.
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- Experience in surgical assist settings is preferred
- Proficient in medical coding (ICD-9, ICD-10) and CPT coding for accurate billing practices.
- Familiarity with health coaching principles and multi-disciplinary approach to chronic disease including lifestyle changes.
