Speech Language Pathologist PRN Inpatient Rehab

Speech Language Pathologist PRN at Medical City Healthcare (Medical City Dallas). This role provides patient-centered care for individuals with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments as part of a multidisciplinary team. • Conduct subjective assessments of assigned patient's speech-language abilities during spontaneous conversation and administer objective tests to assess communication assets and liabilities.
• Structure and implement individualized patient programs to improve communication abilities.
• Evaluate patient progress regularly and adjust the program as needed to maximize outcomes.
• Document progress in the patient's chart, including notes, charges, discharge notes and patient communication.
• Consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Certified Speech Language Hearing
• Speech Pathologist
• Graduation from an accredited school at the bachelor's, master's or doctoral level
• 1 year experience required
