**** Job Purpose
*** The Privacy Investigator/Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that MHS complies with the necessary regulations regarding (a) patient and personal privacy, and (b) security and protection of patient information. This role will assist the Privacy Officer in responding to and investigating HIPAA violations, as well as other privacy-related complaints and data protection issues. The role will also (x) identify trends in the reported data, (y) conduct trainings, and (z) assist the Privacy Officer, in collaboration with business clients, to establish and reinforce privacy internal controls.

* Education:
*** Bachelor's degree in a data protection, health information management or other health-related field.
** Licenses and/or
Certifications:
*** Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification is highly desirable.

* Work Experience:
*** 3-5 years of experience in healthcare privacy, compliance, or related field.
