Title:

Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Dallas - Hospital

Additional Posting Details: PRN Monday-Friday, 20 hours per week

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of the planning and implementation of clinical, programmatic, and educational initiatives focused on patients with dysphagia and their families
• Participate in departmental activities in the area of Medical Care, Professional Training and Education, Patient/Family Education, Advocacy for children with special needs, and Research
• Evaluate, diagnose, and recommend treatment of identified patients with communication and swallowing disorders
• Assist in developing schedules for families to support the optimal therapeutic impact for the patients
• Assist with maintaining communication with the patient/family regarding progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic program outlined by the Developmental Disabilities Team
• Help coordinate and lead patient care staffing of the patients seen through the DD Dysphagia Team
• Prepare and present continuing educational programs for staff/families related to dysphagia and intervention for the condition

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Specific training in pediatric dysphagia
• 5 years of clinical experience
