Child and Family Guidance Center is hiring an ACT-Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) for the Dallas location.

Reports To:

ACT Director

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the QMHP Case Manager is to provide family-oriented, individual and group rehabilitative mental health services, skills training, medication training, parenting skills training, and intensive case management services to clients, following state standards. Services are delivered in the community, home, school, and office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide curriculum-based rehabilitative services individually and in groups.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitative services based on consumer needs, medical necessity, and clinical judgment.
  • Deliver rehabilitation services according to collaboratively created recovery plans and document progress.
  • Transport clients to appointments as needed.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate and legally compliant.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promote community awareness of services.
  • Participate in task forces as requested.
  • Provide consultation to contracted agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Education and Work Experience Requirements:

    Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in rehab counseling, psychology, social work, or related human services field as per Texas Administrative Code Rule §353.1415. One year of community-based experience with knowledge of curriculum-based techniques and community resources for severe mental illness is preferred.

    Skills:
    • Understanding of mental health diagnosis and treatment.
    • Knowledge of documentation, confidentiality, and ethical guidelines.
    • Awareness of community service agencies and resources.
    • Knowledge of psychotropic medications.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
    • Clear verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally.
    • Frequent local travel is required.
