Must-Have:

Description:

No call and no weekends required.
Candidates must have experience in CVOR, adequacy of perfusion, and blood conservation techniques.
Knowledge of extracorporeal circuit components for cardiopulmonary bypass is essential.
Experience in myocardial preservation and organ transplantation is required.
Candidates should be skilled in patient monitoring and point of care testing.
Familiarity with systemic hypothermia and acid-base management is necessary.

Experience with anticoagulation and cardioplegia is critical.
Candidates must understand flow rates and hypothermic circulatory arrest.
Ability to manage power failure and perform equipment set-up is essential.
Temperature management and ultrafiltration experience is required.
Weaning and resumption of natural circulation is important.
Experience in extra corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is necessary.
Candidates should also have experience with Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP).
Familiarity with autologous blood salvage and isolation precautions is needed.
Understanding of minimally invasive bypass techniques is important.
Candidates should have knowledge of retrograde and selective antegrade cerebral perfusion.
Transporting patients requiring cardiopulmonary support is part of the job.
