Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical disciplines, including acute care, emergency medicine, and primary care. This role requires excellent patient assessment skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and assisting in various medical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses under the supervision of a physician.
- Administer medications and injections as needed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Perform minor surgical procedures such as suturing and wound care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans for patients.
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Participate in clinical research and data collection for ongoing studies.
- Provide triage services in emergency situations, ensuring timely care for patients.
- Manage acute pain and provide hospice & palliative medicine support when necessary.
- Educate patients on health management, including nutrition and lifestyle modifications.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, eClinical
Works) and medical coding (ICD-9, ICD-10). - Experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is preferred.
- Familiarity with diverse medical fields including pediatrics, geriatrics, internal medicine, urgent care, occupational health, and infectious disease care.
- Knowledge of clinical trials and research methodologies is advantageous.
- Experience with advanced procedures such as cardiac catheterization, airway management, dialysis, or neonatal ventilator management is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, HIPAA regulations, and basic life support protocols.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60.00 - $62.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
