North Central Surgical Center is a highly successful, Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital located in Dallas, TX. We partner with the very best team members and medical staff in the area. We are a surgical focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year.

FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL:

Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms. We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious North Park area. Specialties include:
Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International & Joint Commission Accredited.

We are currently looking for a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team.

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) will support our team by being responsible for the following:

  • Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, set up and maintain a sterile field for minor and major surgical procedures applying special knowledge of asepsis.
  • Apply knowledge of specialized instruments, equipment, and supplies utilized in the Operating Room.
  • Organize instruments, equipment, and supplies for easy access and maximum efficiency.
  • Participate in a rotational call system as needed to provide for continuous availability of patient services.
  • Follow appropriate guidelines for setting up sterile field and instruments for designated procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of procedures performed in the Operating Room.
  • Re-stock Operating Room supplies as caseload permits.
  • Assist circulating nurse in maintenance of physician preference cards.
Required Skills:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of previous Operating Room CST experience is required.
  • CST certification, required.
  • Current BLS required.
  • One year of Total Joint, Complex Spine, and Arthroscopy experience, preferred.
