FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL:Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms. We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious North Park area. Specialties include:
Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International & Joint Commission Accredited.
We are currently looking for a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team.
The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) will support our team by being responsible for the following:
- Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, set up and maintain a sterile field for minor and major surgical procedures applying special knowledge of asepsis.
- Apply knowledge of specialized instruments, equipment, and supplies utilized in the Operating Room.
- Organize instruments, equipment, and supplies for easy access and maximum efficiency.
- Participate in a rotational call system as needed to provide for continuous availability of patient services.
- Follow appropriate guidelines for setting up sterile field and instruments for designated procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of procedures performed in the Operating Room.
- Re-stock Operating Room supplies as caseload permits.
- Assist circulating nurse in maintenance of physician preference cards.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of previous Operating Room CST experience is required.
- CST certification, required.
- Current BLS required.
- One year of Total Joint, Complex Spine, and Arthroscopy experience, preferred.
