Occupational Therapist

Overview

MOST/DFW is looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to work in an interdisciplinary team of Speech, Physical, and ABA therapists for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Working as an interdisciplinary team, we provide fun and functional therapy to improve quality of life.

This position is in-clinic and treats out of our Dallas territory, at 2–3 ABA centers in Forney, Mesquite, and Rowlett. The position is a part-time 1099 contract to start, with potential to increase to a full-time caseload depending on availability. Rates range from $35.00 to $65.00 per session, based on years of pediatric experience and additional certifications.

At least 2 years of pediatrics experience preferred, commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week, and be with the company for 90 days after an introductory review in good standing.

• Provide occupational therapy services in clinic at partnering ABA locations for clients aged typically 3–12 years.
• Collaborate with co-treating therapists to develop and implement therapy strategies to reach client goals.
• Create and implement therapy programs that enhance daily living skills and overall quality of life.
• Administer evaluations and re-evaluations, analyze results, and formulate plans of care with short- and long-term goals.
• Track and record client progression and mastery of goals while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.
• Participate in progress reports and meetings related to therapy treatment and goals.
• Educate families to promote generalization and carryover of skills.
• Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops and engaging in continuing education.
• Provide clinical orientation and mentorship to other staff as needed.

• OTR License to practice in the State of Texas
• Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric, autism, or sensory processing disorder experience preferred
• Willingness to collaborate with a dynamic team of allied health professionals
• Willingness to commit to a minimum of 20 working hours per week
• BLS/CPR certification
• Willingness to undergo a background check
• Laptop or tablet to document via Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

• Participate in reports and meetings on client progress across disciplines related to therapy goals.
• Educate families to increase generalization and carryover of skills.
• Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking with professional societies.
• Attend continuing education programs to monitor proficiency and share knowledge with staff as needed.
