Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our interdisciplinary team. Position Summary

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavior analytic services to pediatric patients with a variety of neurodevelopmental, behavioral, psychiatric, and medically complex diagnoses. This role is responsible for conducting behavioral assessments, developing individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), analyzing treatment outcomes, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team to improve patient safety, independence, communication, and quality of life.

The BCBA also serves as a behavioral consultant and clinical resource for hospital staff, supporting evidence-based interventions and promoting positive patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.

Clinical Excellence
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), preference assessments, and skill-based evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Utilize evidence-based ABA interventions consistent with BACB standards and best practices.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to guide clinical decision-making.
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and measurable outcomes.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
  • Partner with physicians, psychologists, nurses, therapists, social workers, educators, and rehabilitation specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and patient care conferences.
  • Provide behavioral recommendations that support medical, rehabilitation, and therapeutic goals.
Family Education
  • Educate parents, caregivers, and families on behavioral strategies that promote continued success after discharge.
  • Provide coaching and training to improve consistency across home and treatment environments.
Staff Training & Clinical Support
  • Provide ongoing education and behavioral consultation to nursing staff, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), therapists, and other clinical team members.
  • Assist with behavioral crisis prevention, de-escalation strategies, and safe implementation of behavior support plans.
  • Promote trauma-informed and person-centered approaches throughout the organization.
Quality & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Ensure all services align with BACB Ethics Code, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects.
  • Support accreditation readiness and departmental compliance efforts.
Professional Development
  • Remain current with emerging research, evidence-based interventions, and advancements in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
Qualifications Education
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a closely related field required.
Licensure & Certification
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
