Provides clerical and non-clinical administrative support to the department and Care Management staff. Coordinates discharge referrals to facilitate timely discharges under the direction of the Social Worker and Care Manager.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONSExperience:
May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.
- Must be able to type 20 words-per-minute with a maximum of three errors.
- Must be able to successfully pass a Customer Service test as established by Employment Services, with a minimum score of 80%.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all hospital personnel.
- Must be able to compose correspondence independently.
- Must be able to demonstrate good spelling, grammar and vocabulary skills.
- Must be familiar with the operations of standard office equipment and healthcare terminology.
- Must be able to write effectively.
- Must be able to demonstrate good phone techniques and manners.
- Must be able to use sound judgment in making intermediate to difficult level decisions.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
