We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be overseeing patient flow to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience. You will manage pre-patient clinic follow-up and coordinate patient care with the intake staff while ensuring that all necessary patient information is collected and verified during appointments, including insurance and contact details.

The ideal candidate will ensure optimal use of the facility, upholding patient and physician satisfaction, and compliance with established office procedures and policies. Collaboration with your onsite Medical Assistant, physician leads, and supervisor is essential to maintain PRM standards, while also fostering a quiet and peaceful environment that promotes healing. You will handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity, adhering strictly to HIPAA laws.

Responsibilities
  • Greet visitors and vendors; oversee patient flow.
  • Manage pre-patient clinic follow-up and coordinate patient care with intake staff.
  • Ensure all patient information is collected in the clinic, verifying insurance and relevant contact information during each appointment.
  • Ensure optimal use of the facility throughout all hours of operations, ensuring patient and physician satisfaction and compliance with systems, policies, and procedures established for the office practice suite.
  • Adhere to office procedures and work collaboratively with your onsite Medical Assistant and physician leads, as well as your supervisor, to maintain PRM standards.
  • Maintain a quiet and peaceful environment that promotes healing.
  • Handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity, and in compliance with HIPAA laws.
  • Other duties as assigned by the department lead/manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Exceptional customer service background; administrative and clerical ability
  • Critical thinker, innovative, friendly, compassionate
  • Excellent communication skills and supervisory ability
  • Working knowledge of medical and billing terminology
  • Knowledge of insurance billing processes; experience with medical pre-authorization
