We are seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant with a passion for service excellence to join our Pediatric team in the Dallas area. The Pediatric MA would support pediatric providers in delivering quality healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents. This role is responsible for assisting with patient care, performing administrative and clinical duties, preparing patients for examinations, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a welcoming and child-friendly environment for patients and families.

Here’s a Sneak Peek At What You’ll Do
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories
  • Assess patients’ conditions by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, respiration, height and weight, and BMI.
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during pediatric examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
  • Administer vaccines and medications as directed by the provider and within scope of practice.
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, providing excellent customer service to patients. Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient intake and check‑out processes.
  • Perform laboratory tests and other functions
  • Educate parents and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, immunizations, and follow‑up care instructions.
  • Maintain clinical inventory, stock exam rooms, monitor vaccine and medication supplies, and ensure proper storage of medications and vaccines.
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment following infection prevention and safety protocols.
  • Manage patient records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support efficient clinic flow with staff already familiar with pediatric workflows and immunization

What you need to succeed

Skills

To be a productive member of our team, you will have a pleasant and professional demeanor, be a self‑starter, the ability to work independently, strong communication skills, and the ability to preserve confidentiality. You will also have the following:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Pediatric, family medicine, community health center, or FQHC experience preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required or obtained within organizational guidelines
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or equivalent certification preferred
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Knowledge of computers and data entry with a high level of accuracy
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Burmese, Pashto, Rohingya is a plus
  • eClinical

    Works (EMR) experience preferred
