The In Home Caregiver role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Dallas, TX, providing hands‑on support to clients in their homes. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include assisting with personal care (such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting), supporting mobility and safety, and helping with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands. The caregiver offers companionship by engaging clients in conversation, activities, and social interaction to reduce isolation and promote emotional well‑being.
The role also involves following individualized care plans, monitoring changes in clients’ conditions, and communicating observations to supervisors or family members. In Home Caregivers are expected to uphold Comfort Keepers’ standards of respect, reliability, and compassion while maintaining clients’ dignity and independence.
- Candidates should possess strong caregiving and elder care skills, with experience supporting older adults in home settings.
- Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and clear communication with clients, families, and team members.
- Candidates should possess home care and personal care abilities, including assistance with activities of daily living and basic household tasks.
- Previous experience in in‑home care, senior care, or related healthcare support roles is beneficial.
- Reliable transportation, the ability to work a consistent full‑time schedule, and authorization to work in the U.S. are required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; relevant certifications (such as CNA, HHA, or PCA) are a plus.
- Ability to follow care plans, maintain client confidentiality, and adhere to safety and infection‑control guidelines.
