Position: Outpatient Front Desk / Medical Assistant (Certified)

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and patient-focused Front Desk Professional with a Medical Assistant certificate to join our healthcare Outpatient team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact for patients, takes pride in creating a welcoming environment, and is comfortable supporting both administrative and clinical workflows.

As a key member of our team, you will help ensure a smooth, positive experience for patients from the moment they walk through the door. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and warm demeanor will play an important role in supporting patient care and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone

  • Schedule appointments, verify patient information, and manage front desk flow

  • Assist with check-in and check-out processes

  • Support clinical staff as needed within the scope of your Medical Assistant certification

  • Ensure confidentiality at all times

  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and team members

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment

  • Additional duties as assigned by the executive director and/or Nurse Manager
Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant certification required

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Friendly, calm, and professional demeanor

  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable using electronic medical records and scheduling systems

  • Ability to work 2 days out of the week from 11am-8pm
