Physical Medicine Consultants is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with medical billing, insurance claims, denial follow-up, payment posting, and working aging reports. This position requires someone who is organized, accurate, and able to follow up consistently to help ensure claims are processed and paid in a timely manner.

• Review and submit medical claims accurately and timely
• Follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims
• Work insurance denials, appeals, and reconsiderations as needed
• Post payments, adjustments, and review EOBs
• Review aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits when needed
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and payment issues
• Review documentation and billing information for accuracy
• Maintain accurate billing records and follow office billing procedures
• Assist with other billing-related tasks as assigned

• Medical billing experience required
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and insurance billing guidelines preferred
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance preferred
• Experience with Next Gen is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Good communication and follow-up skills
• Dependable and able to meet billing deadlines

Starting at $18.00 per hour and up, based on experience

Monday through Friday

Part-time or full-time availability may be considered
