We are seeking a Consultant Pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge for Dallas County Health & Human Services’ 11 Class D clinics, ensuring ongoing compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and Texas State Board of Pharmacy requirements. The PIC will manage annual Class D licensure activities, review and update pharmacy policies and procedures, conduct annual evaluations and monthly on-site clinic inspections, and oversee proper medication and vaccine storage, dispensing, and disposal practices.

• Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge of the County's 11 Class D Clinics.
• Prepare the annual application for Class D licensure in conjunction with County staff.
• Review and update the pharmacy policies and procedures manual as required to ensure continuing compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Perform an annual evaluation of the pharmaceutical and dispensing procedures being utilized in the clinics listed herein as necessary to assure compliance with the law.
• Provide on-site monthly inspections for the clinics for the following:
• Ensure medications and vaccines are stored, dispensed, disposed of properly; ensure that outdated, unusable, and/or recalled dangerous drugs are disposed of in such a manner as to comply with Texas State Board of Pharmacy Rules and Regulations.
• Review monthly and document the County's services that provide drugs to patients, to assure that County meets all the requirements of Class D Pharmacy as prescribed by the Texas Board of Pharmacy.
• Ensure that medications and vaccines are stored properly. Collect and dispose of expired, recalled, and unusable medications.

• Experience serving as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) or Pharmacy Manager, overseeing Class D pharmacy/clinic operations.
• Knowledge of Texas State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations and applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy requirements.
• Experience with Class D pharmacy licensure and annual licensing requirements.
• Experience conducting pharmacy compliance reviews, evaluations, and on-site inspections.
• Experience developing, reviewing, or maintaining pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper medication and vaccine storage, dispensing, handling, and disposal, including expired, unusable, and recalled drugs.
• Ability to oversee prescription dispensing and medication bottling/labeling when requested.
• Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Pharm.
  
  D. or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited/Board-approved pharmacy program.
