The Position
- Experienced field-based cardiometabolic Medical Science Liaison (MSL) within assigned territory. MSLs develop professional relationships with healthcare professionals through scientific engagement to support clinical stage and launch molecules; provide clinical and scientific support.
- Engage cardiologists/endocrinologists/healthcare professionals/stakeholders with clinical/scientific evidence aligned to strategic imperatives.
- Educate on RNAi technology and cardiometabolic diseases (hypertriglyceridemia, familial chylomicronemia syndrome, hypercholesterolemia).
- Synthesize and communicate clinical/scientific insights to internal stakeholders.
- Attend and present at scientific congresses/meetings.
- Respond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with MSL compliance standards.
- Support company-sponsored clinical trials via investigator site engagement.
- Support speaker training; keep speakers current on evolving disease/product data.
- Support national/regional/local congresses (Opinion Leader engagement, session coverage, booth, debriefs).
- Monitor/analyze publications, clinical trials, and competitive landscape.
- Maintain clinical/scientific expertise and business acumen.
- Develop territory Opinion Leader (OL) and account plans; manage OL profiles, pre-call and follow-up plans.
- Communicate clearly; document accomplishments.
- Provide scientific support for Med Info inquiries.
- Develop scientific content for medical education initiatives.
- Support Medical Affairs special projects/initiatives; cross-functional relationship management.
- PhD, PharmD, MD, or DO (required).
- 5 years of experience as an MSL.
- Cardiometabolic therapeutic experience; biotech/pharma Medical Affairs industry experience.
- Strong verbal/written communication; collaboration; strong cardiometabolic comprehension.
- Ability to interpret scientific data and translate for educational/research needs.
- Identify unmet local/regional medical/educational/research needs.
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery (managed care), research study design/execution.
- Strategic/creative results orientation; thrives in ambiguity.
- Strong project/time/organizational skills; ability to travel.
- $190,000 USD - $210,000 USD.
