Major Accountabilities
- Provide field-based (in-person/virtual as needed) education to accounts on access and reimbursement topics in support of aligned product strategy.
- Serve as patient access and reimbursement lead in B2B discussions with account executives; manage pull-through and downstream operations.
- Educate providers/staff on programs and integration into office workflows; support ordering, payment, inventorying, and product returns/replacements.
- Analyze access/reimbursement problems; support provider-level third-party payer reimbursement barriers and identify trends locally/regionally/nationally.
- Support local coverage decisions; proactively communicate policy changes impacting access.
- Inform customers about manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs (e.g., co-pay).
- Interface with Patient Support Center/Access & Reimbursement Managers for case management, tracking, issue resolution, and staff education.
- Maintain compliance with NPC policies; handle PII appropriately (HIPAA/privacy).
- Identify and report adverse events via established systems.
- Assess access needs and develop/communicate a Plan of Action (POA).
- Educate HCPs on acquisition pathways and end-to-end buy-and-bill workflows (including centralized/decentralized acquisition and alternative channels).
- Educate stakeholders on ordering/payment/inventory and returns logistics; engage non-prescribers (pharmacy, administrators, financial counselors, revenue cycle managers).
- Bachelor’s required; business/biological science preferred; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years in pharma/biotech (Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, and/or account management), with 2+ years in specialty patient services practice support.
- Experience with highly complex practices/health systems; strategic proactive account management.
- Deep expertise integrating manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs; specialty pharmacy network experience.
- Knowledge of reimbursement pathways (specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, retail) and Commercial/Medicare/state Medicaid in territory.
- Must live in assigned territory; travel 50%+.
- Driving is essential: fully valid/unrestricted driver’s license required.
- Present to C-level executives; strong cross-functional collaboration and communication/presentation skills.

- Expected salary range: $160,300–$297,700/year; includes performance-based cash incentive and possible equity eligibility.
